The Tigers’ minor league teams are now 12-1. I know it’s not proof that the system isn’t so bad after all, but it’s still great to see.

Hey Matt since you’re in Toledo and have a MiLB blog I figure I’ll ask. I’ve seen the Tigers live it seems like 100000000000000x but I’ve never been to see the Hens and want to go this year. Any games you’d advise? Any great promos or hotshot prospects (ie Wieters) to see? How much are good seats? 20bux? Best times Friday/Sat night games? I’m thinking about sometime either in May or June.

Maybe drive down to Cleveland after and see an Indians game the next day…

Anybody else who has seen the Hens several times who wants to chime in with helpful info please let me know.

:) Thanks!

Not good. I think it might take Zumaya quiet awhile to get his command back.

David,

Hens games are quite a bit of fun. The stadium is beautiful and they’re doing a good job of surrounding it with a good pre/post game atmosphere in terms of bars and restaurants. You have Fricker’s (attached to the stadium, but not accessible from the stadium), what used to be the Durty Bird, Blarney’s, Tony Packo’s and now a new Pizzapapalis.

Or you can just go in and the food choices still aren’t bad. Unless it’s changed, I believe all the tickets are still just $8. If you’re going to go on the weekend you should probably choose a weekend ahead of time because those games tend to sell out because of the fireworks.

One parking tip I’d give you. Just go down to Summit Street and park on the street for free. You end up walking just a couple blocks. Of course, my wife works at OC downtown so I get free secure parking.

As for promotions and prospects, I’d go to the Hens’ website for that info.

Thanks Matt! All tickets are only $8? WOW Thanks for the parking tip and I’ve heard the atmosphere is great as you stated.

I spent some time checking out there promotions, but their page wasn’t as easy to figure out as the Tigers…Have to read some more.

Thanks again Matt!
