Game 2016.101: Tigers at Red Sox

Ausmus pulled the right strings last night – resulting in a 2 run HR by the #2 hitter, and a 4 out save by F-Rod. Verlander was great again, and we know he can be even better on some nights.

Maybin still out with a back sprain (is he old enough to get those?).

Baseball-Reference game preview here.

1. Ian Kinsler, 2B

2. Jose Iglesias, SS

3. Miguel Cabrera, 1B

4. Victor Martinez, DH

5. Nick Castellanos, 3B

6. Justin Upton, LF

7. Mike Aviles, RF

8. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C

9. Tyler Collins, CF

  1. I can’t believe we spent 8mm/year for this clown on the mound. Lawd have mercy.

  2. Headed to the Rangers game tomorrow. When I was a kid, one of the best parts of going to the ballpark was seeing the out of town scores get updated throughout the night.

Also snagged some front row tix on the 1B line for Tigers/Rangers on the 12th!

  3. The Big Guns actually contributed some…rare this whole month….but the Little guns pound it again…great job…

    1. They still need to get more time for Romine, less for Aviles.

Romine in July, by the way: .368 BA, 1.008 OPS.

  4. By the way..David Ortiz stats are sick compared to every Tiger hitter. Not even close in any category…
