Game 2016.72: Mariners at Tigers

Last night the Tigers got their 2nd good win in a row. Maybe this could become a thing.

Tonight Michael Fulmer gets the rare treat of facing 8 left-handed batters. That Seattle can do this is as good a reason as any to bring up Daniel Norris to fill in for Boyd tomorrow. Fulmer himself will get a start off, as Anibal Sanchez gets another go at the starting rotation next time Fulmer’s spot comes around, as the Tigers try to limit the wear on what may be a golden arm.

Tonight’s Lineup:

1. Ian Kinsler, 2B
2. Cameron Maybin, CF
3. Miguel Cabrera, 1B
4. Victor Martinez, DH
5. Nick Castellanos, 3B
6. Justin Upton, LF
7. Steven Moya, RF
8. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C
9. Jose Iglesias, SS

Everyday Aviles finally gets a rest.

  1. Although Victor just K’ed without having one strike thrown to him including the last one that bounced up there!..hmmmm.

    1. amen! KRyan has pitched out of two jams in the few days. I’d give the man a “save” for coming in bases loaded and only 1 out, and not allowing a run vs Gutierrez and Cano…that was big

  2. Why does Moya look like he could do that a lot…swing looks like Griffy jr….sweet swing!

  3. After that exchange I am really envious of Jud being able to get the Seattle announcers!

  4. Excellent job by the pen. The key was Kyle Ryan who came in with the bases loaded and 1 out and didn’t allow any inherited runs. Get the brooms out!

  5. Jud – trust me on this one… a steady diet of the M’s announcers will get real old real fast…. didn’t Rizz work for the Tigers at one point? You guys want him back? One of my brothers has him for a neighbor, he tells me when Rick is on the road his kid has an ongoing party… Moya continues to impress…..
