  1. You know, after watching all 45 minutes of that first inning, I do have one thing to say:

I’ve been racing on the Isle of Man a long time…

  2. Speaking of possible managers, how about Omar Vizquel? Would he consider, and has he been considered?

  3. Anyway, Lions had a nice game. Zach Zenner continues to impress; I’m sure he’ll clear roster cuts for 53-man.

  4. I found myself actually hoping that Gorzy gets shelled, in this meaningless, already-gone game. Then Tigers have to start seriously thinking about retooling their ‘pen for next year.

  5. One good thing from this game is that AlAl’s ERA is starting to reflect his generally miserable performance this year. I thought it was a great injustice that he allowed almost all inherited runners to score, but maintained a 2.xx ERA most of the season. Sad flip-side is that even a 4.xx ERA is one of the best for the relievers this season.

    1. It has amazed me all year that he allows everyone else runners to score, and then someone bails him out before his runners score. Been doing that all year, you are right!

  6. CMU gave up 3 touchdowns
    UM gave up 3 touchdowns
Lions only gave up 1 touchdown and
The Tigers gave up 2 touchdowns!!!

  7. sadly; pride, draft placement and personal stats/resume building are all that’s left for DET to ‘play for’ in ’15… oh, and they’re also being paid to do so

  8. Do you remember 2003 when the Tigers went 43-119? Of the Tiger staff, what pitchers went on to any successful careers? Bonderman, Roberston, etc? Nope, of the entire staff, perhaps Fernando Rodney was the only one who went anywhere. Did that season and the beating they took mold the pitching staff into a bunch of losers?

Inasmuch, are the Tigers tainting our current starting rookies (Boyd, VerHagen, Norris, Farmer) with failure in these end of year outings?” That is, reinforcing failure for 2016?

Just a thought. However I guess the same can be said about position players. Remember after 2003, Pudge came to the team and provided the start of a new start.
