Game 2017.2: Tigers at White Sox

Today’s game looks like it should be a go. The Tigers are sticking with Matt Boyd as today’s starter, and skipping Zimmermann’s start

Upton’s leg seems OK; he’s back in the lineup.

Today’s Undefeated Lineup:

  1. Kinsler, 2B
  2. Castellanos, 3B
  3. Cabrera, 1B
  4. V Martinez, DH
  5. Upton, LF
  6. Collins, RF
  7. McCann, C
  8. Jones, CF
  9. Iglesias, SS

  1. Still time to win this one but we can’t play give away to the other team. In the top of the first we gave Shields 3 K’s by going out of the strike zone. Then Fingers does his impression of Moya in RF and Boyd commits an unforced error. Need to get heads out of rear end.

  2. That ever slick pitching staff who finished last in the AL in fielding again last year comittes it’s second error of the season after only 8 Innings… Brad will be quoted as saying ” we will work on that in spring training”!!!

  3. Great! Brad takes Boyd out after only 5….wow!!!….he usually waits for 8 or 9 runs…..

  4. Boyd disappointing in first start. No command at all today. Great news, we can check out our ball early today. If Sanchez looks good (BIG IF), I would let him go as far as he can and try to work him in as a starter. I’m not all that confident about our starters beyond JV and Fulmer and really worried about Zimm. DID YOU SEE MCCANNON?

  5. Well, there goes my big plan! Sanchez looks as good as he did last year, also no command. Looks like the Twinkies will sweep the Royals, we have Boston next and then the Twinkies. Could be the start of a dismal start.

  6. Someone explain how you go from your #1 starter in game 1 to your 5th starter in game 2???????

    1. Perhaps Brad is thinking that his fourth starter against the Red Sox will be better than Boyd? Meanwhile Boyd pitching against the White Sox is a better match up? Such things and options happen at the start of the season.

  7. Ok Friends…here is my schedule for the Home Day Opener. (For the last 23 years I have had morning coffee with a Red Sox fan. We have held a mutual truce and focused our ire on the Yankees. However when we play each other…all bets are off.)
