Toledo 0, Rochester 8 (Twins)

Villarreal gave up 4 runs, 2 earned, in 3 2/3 innings to take the loss.  Ryan Perry pitched a scoreless 9th inning, but allowed a walk.

It was a miserable night offensively.  Although, Will Rhymes had a decent night as he went 1-3 with a  walk.

Erie 8, Binghamton  2 (Mets)

Casey Crosby (LHP) started and was the winning pitcher after 6 2/3 innings. He managed to convert 11 base runners (6 BB, 5 H) into just 2 runs (1 ER).  Both Wood and Ruffin looked good in relief as neither man allowed a run. Ruffin K’ed 2 batters in 1 inning of relief.

Rawley Bishop (1B) had a big game: 3-5, 2 R, 3 2B, 3 RBI. Michael Bertram also drove in 3 runs and went 2-5 from the plate.

Lakeland 4, Fort Myers 0 (Twins)

What the heck does Timo Perez have to do to get back in the majors? He’s hitting well over .300. The last time he was in the bigs was ’07 when he batted about .375. I remember getting a chant going…teee MO!

Brandon Inge goes on the DL with mononucleosis (really!)… to that news i have two wishes, 1) that Brandon gets better in a few months, and 2) that he’s been making out with Raburn

In light of Inge’s DL designation and Raburn’s recent less than successful ‘refresh-of-the-season’ as everyday 2B, JL has announced that Raburn will receive another ‘do over’ – and ‘his season will begin anew as the everyday 3B’…when he’s not in LF.

Meanwhile, the Hen-ometer is at 0.321 and Justin Henry is leading the minor Tigers in batting and is fourth in the Eastern League. BTW, did I already tell you that he plays second base???
