Happy Thanksgiving

This is the part where the blogger who has been having a slow week in the idea department throws up a post listing the things he’s thankful for related to the topic that he/she covers.

  • Curtis Granderson legging out triple after triple.
  • Magglio Ordonez having a magical season with the bat
  • Justin Verlander’s no hitter
  • Baseball games that end at 3:30 in the morning
  • Brandon Inge diving into the stands
  • Placido Polanco flawless at second
  • That Dave Dombrowski is the GM of the Tigers and not some other team
  • Having a son who is as passionate about the Tigers and baseball as I am
  • Having a wife who is exceedingly tolerant of said obsession and a daughter who wants to play tee ball
  • Having the outlet and forum to share said obsession with other obsessed fans

Now go check out America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with Grand Marshall Nate Robertson.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Of all the triples, Casey legging out his one triple was the one I enjoyed the most :)

It’s good to read the word “obsessive” pertaining to someone else besides myself in regard to the Tigers. Anyway, have a great Thanksgiving.

Nice to see Grandy at the top of the list

How about when the Tigers put up 16 runs against the Yanks to get 1GB? I was there

• Quotable: “Everybody is going to talk about the offense, but I really liked the look in Verlander’s eye. He really went at a real good hitting team. To me, that was the bright spot of the evening.” — Tigers manager Jim Leyland

Hunter didn’t go to the ChiSox and they lost a good SP in Garland GREAT!!!

One correction/expansion: Baseball games that end at 3:30 in the morning ON A CARLOS GUILLEN WALK-OFF HOME RUN AGAINST THE MOST EVIL SPORTS TEAM IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE.

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.

THE LIONS ARE IN A MID SEASON SWOON LIKE THE TIGERS HAD LAST YEAR. AT LEAST WE CAN BE THANKFUL THAT ALL OUR PRO TEAMS ARE DOING WELL.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that Francisco Cordero has signed with the Reds. Not that I was expecting the Tigers to still be looking at him…but I guess this officially rules them out.

Sound’s like the Tigers weren’t bidding on him at all. Though he’d stay a closer and they have Jones. For the Reds, Weathers will move back to being a setup man.

Bill,

Well said!

Even though our Tigers did not even make the playoffs, it was an enjoyable ride.

Seems appropriate to say thanks for all the work Billfer does here. Not only the material here, which is always presented in a professional manner. But consistently providing numerous links I would call, in a word, pithy. They’re useful, interesting, informative….

Bravo!

Amen, thanks Billfer and especially for organizing Blogger night at the ballpark, and the chance to meet a lot of the cool people who post here. Greetings to all. cindi

Thanks to all of the Tigers Bloggers (Especially Matt, ’cause he’s doing solely Tigers minor leaguers which i’m assuming doesn’t get a ton of recognition until a trade goes down and whatnot. So it’s a thankless aspect of the Tigers to blog about, but I enjoy it).
