Timo Perez doubled twice and singled. Chris Shelton singled, doubled, and walked twice. Dennis Tankersley surrendered 7 runs on 10 hits in 3 innings of work. Jeremy Johnson was solid in relief allowing 1 run on 4 hits while fanning 4 in 5 innings.

Erie 1 Akron 3
Jackson Melian had half the team’s hits with 3 including a homer. Eulogio De La Cruz allowed 8 hits and 3 runs in 5 innings with only 1 strikeout.

Palm Beach 9 Lakeland 6
Wilkin Ramirez had 3 hits including a triple. Wil Rhymes and Mike Hernandez each added 2 hits. Alfredo Figaro allowed 3 runs on 7 hits with no walks or K’s in 5 innings.

West Michigan 7 Fort Wayne 8
Ryan Strieby was a triple short of the cycle and picked up 4 RBI. Jeff Kunkel added 3 hits. Jonah Nickerson allowed 4 runs on 8 hits with 2 K’s and 2 BB’s in 5 innings.

Matt Wallace catches up on some organizational transactions
D Town Baseball notes that the Toledo Mudhens will face Roger Clemens. The game will be on Monday at 5pm on ESPN2.

    ESPN.com doesn’t agree with the ESPN2 rumor. They’re showing it on ESPN360. (I don’t even get ESPN3!)
