Go after Lidge
Mark in Chicago

My understanding is that Lidge isn’t happy with his middle relief role and wants to close. I don’t know that he helps your bullpen all that much.
Ohman could be effective as a LOOGY.

Heard on MLB radio that Felix Pie will play everyday in CF for the Cubs when Fonzy comes back as he will be in LF. The Cubs have a huge excess in the OF with 2 lefty sticks (J Jones, and C Floyd). I would love to package Monroe for Jones and Ohman and have Jones and Thames platoon in LF?? Even getting Floyd (Though I wouldn’t give up Monroe) would not be bad.
Basically Monroe and Thames are the same player and we do not need both. I am almost inclined to keep Thames even though he is not as good defensively as he has an offensive advantage.
