I knew this was gonna happen. Last nigth’s offense was too good to be true. This team struggling to score the day after a good offensive game is so predictable. I should’ve bet my house on the under with Verlander pitching and the Tigers inability to consistently score runs.

Why can’t we ever score any runs for JV?

How can they be getting one hit when the guy is about 50% strikes and 50% balls?

What is their average w/ the bases laoded? It seems like they always leave them loaded? I bet it’s under .200

Verlander delivers another classic response when KC threatens with a runner on 3rd and 1 out by KCs two batters!

        Boesch-awful (most-all games)

I’ll wear some patience until around mid-May. Hopefully he turns on the heat by then. If not, then please step aside Brennan and take a seat on the bench.

Gerald Laird, Pinch Runner=Ryan Raburn, Defensive Replacement.

That was all rather short of satisfying.

Benoit has been pretty awful so far this season. He has baserunners every inning and has wiggled out of some, but, you can only be lucky for so long. In the end, though, our offense fails again. It fails to a guy, not even throwing strikes. maybe we need to stop using terrible RH batters against lefties and just go w/ our LH bats. Raburn is basically Inge, except he has never really done anything. Inge had a gold glove caliber season and a couple all-star worthy seasons. Raburn butchers balls at every position he plays CONSISTENTLY and he has gotten hot a couple times. Big Deal.

Guess JL is saving them for the Sox series.

Equating Rayburn to Inge before Aug 1st is an insult to Inge.

No Gene Rayburn playing for the Tigers. He died years ago.
However, Ryan Raburn does play for the Tigers.

No – he is most definitely talking about Ryan Rayburn at this point.

Excellent point about Raburn and Inge. I couldn’t agree more… Raburn batting 5th is a crime…

I don’t think Richard Durrett has anything better to write about (says Tigers are the biggest threat to the Rangers)

Weaver threw a no-hitter against the Twinkies – Twins shut-out for 2nd straight game… they now have the worst record in the MLB… ever since they’ve moved to Target Field, they seem to be cursed.

Vicksburg native Justin Henry is batting .314 with the Mud Hens and .419 in the last ten games. The Mud Hens are testing Henry as utility/outfielder instead of his normal position at 2B.

Right-hander Jake Peavy is scheduled to start for the Sox… and Peavy has been stellar all year, and especially strong in his last three outings
Tiger starting lineup tonight – if it doesn’t rain

    2. Brennan Boesch, RF
    3. Miguel Cabrera, 3B
    4. Prince Fielder, 1B
    5. Andy Dirks, DH
    6. Alex Avila, C
    7. Jhonny Peralta, SS

    Starting pitcher: Drew Smyly

NOTE: Tigers manager Jim Leyland said pitcher Doug Fister will come off the disabled list (pulled side) and start Monday in Seattle. Also, he said he expects Delmon Young to start as the team’s designated hitter Saturday and Sunday

Glad to see that Delmon will be DH.

So far this year he’s been DH 6 times out of 18 games played. Should probably have been 18 out of 18, unless Fielder or Cabrera needed a bit of a break.
