Props to Eddie at Tigers Thoughts. Eddie back calculated the Elias free agent rankings earlier this year and published them on his blog. This got a lot of put in the ‘sphere, but now Jon Paul Morosi has written about it for the Freep.

Congrats to Eddie and kudos to Morosi for giving him the credit that he deserves.

    In that Freep article, regarding Renteria:

    “If the Tigers play their cards right and the right team signs him, they could get a first-round pick and a sandwich pick for him after the season,” Bajek said.

    Renteria… for a sandwich… I’m not making this up!

    Andrew in Toronto: sandwich pick eh? I notice they cleverly leave out “ham” thus narrowly avoiding trademark infringement…
