He’s willing to move to first, but only if that shortstop is of a Renteria/Cabrera (and presumably Alex Rodriguez) type player. Not for a Jack Wilson type player.

Morosi frames the same story somewhat differently, and I disagree with his assessment. It’s not just about Guillen’s defense at shortstop. It’s that combined with Casey’s lack of offense at first that has Santiago in the lineup.
