Wow. Mythbusters is my favorite show. Its just too bad Clemens is involved.

I’m actually glad to see Durbin return to the rotation, I think it suits him better. I’ll be at Wednesday’s game and look forward to seeing his start first hand.

And I was thrilled to see F-Rod’s fastball in the mid-90’s yesterday. That was an important inning for him to get through. Now, on to Zumaya…

If the Discovery Channel could somehow combine baseball with Shark Week, that might be the greatest thing ever.

I heard they were going to do a Mythbusters on how the Tigers’ 2007 season wasn’t ruined by the bullpen. But then they did some research and found out it was.

Mythbusters involving Clemens? Does this have anything to do with the George Mitchell investigation?

Yankees won this afternoon. They’re now tied with us for the Wild Card for the moment.

In March, I would have been pleased to know we’d be tied with the Yankees for the Wild Card on August 6.

Now, this statement makes we want to put a sharp object in my eye.

Well, let’s hope the Tigers can take 3 or 4 of these games from the Rays. And for Stephen’s sake, it would be nice if they could win the games with the bullpen holding close leads in the late innings to boost the team’s overall confidence. 🙂

    how baseball has changed

    -lowered the mound
    -inserted designated hitter
    -harder base balls
    -harder bats
    -umps calling tight strike zone

when the ump is calling a very tight strike zone even an ace pitcher is gonna get pounded. and that ain’t baseball

Bill, here’s a great article written by Harold Friend, an older guy who remembers the old days: This is how I grew up watching baseball; great pitchers, stealing bases, bunts, and most of all, great fielding.

Uh… gooks? I hope to God that isn’t being used in the sense I’ve always heard that term used. Perhaps you meant geeks?

Do fans come to see their team win or to watch a slug fest? Any game is boring if you ain’t into it. Basketball, NASCAR — you name it — any sport is boring if you don’t understand the game.

In baseball today this senseless beating of the starting pitchers has got to be called into question

folks wanna see a bunch of stuff get busted up should grab a keg of beer and go to their local demolition derby .
