When you read Ausmus about the playoff chances, all he is hoping for is two games left…and your only two out!….He has no clue about 2 games left and your 5-6 games ahead because you are actually winning series. His analogy that the last two series losses cost them nothing is mind boggling to me!

Mario and Jim can’t figure out how Minnesota has scored more runs and have a higher team batting ave than the Tigers this year. ……how about the fact that The Tigers are terrible at scoring runs! And basically a below average batting team.
McCann complains to umpires when close pitches get called strikes when he is batting. This time up he swings at a pitch in the LH batters box following pitch bounces he swings again…..hey James write in your little notebook that you have no clue on what is a ball or strike!

McCann being fitted for the golden sombrero between innings, but if DET bullpen holds (always a big “if”) that would mean McCann may not get another AB to complete the task and earn the golden lid

I’m an advocate for McCann, the man just has to learn how to hit again…starting w/laying off outside & low breaking balls… the book on how to pitch him (by MLB pitchers) is obvious and consistent – just have to wonder what DET batting instructors and mngmt is doing to help McCann – whatever it is, its not working

The Tigers enter Tuesday’s game against the Twins with a 44-19 record against teams with a losing record this season. They are 33-47 against teams that are .500 or better
…that and being 1-12 against CLE, and 6-10 vs KC, is why DET is on the outside-looking-in (playoffs) – not going to be any subpar teams in the playoffs
