How big were the 2 runs Sanchez gave up. Are we sure we don’t want to run for V-Mart?

I’m impressed. Maybin is quite a spark plug. Aviles to play CF tomorrow.

Let me guess, officially Sanchez gets the win.

one of the many injustices of pitching stats…

and speaking of pitching, hope DET pitching staff has a better plan than relying on DET offense putting up 8-10 runs per night

They better have, although it is nice to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat for a change. Would be nice to sweep the Rays and go into Cleveland and stop their 16 game win streak.

I love the Tigers strategy of giving up 14-15-16 hits every game and the other team is so tired from running the bases they can’t close the Tigers out. Ausmus is brilliant!

i didn’t watch that spectacle, but did see in the boxscore that pinch runner Romine scores the go-ahead run, then starts the game ending GIDP as a defensive replacement at 3B

I still still trying to figure out how Maybin got that over the outfielders, even with them being shallow. He just kind of flicked it out there.

i just watched the replay, and TAM OF must have been pulled in to try and cut the runner down on a sac fly, because it looked like it would be a routine flyout if they were at normal depth

      funny game…baseball

Detroit would have still won if he caught the ball, they were playing to prevent the sac fly. The amazing thing is they went from 7-2 to 7-7 with only one out.

…and the LF (Dickerson) took a bad angle for the ball – he ran sideways instead of back

Watch that game and you see why Tampa is last in the East! Plus 2 relief pitchers give up 8….pretty Ausmus-like

One of the many things I love about you all is the wisdom displayed day in day out. I had just spent some “quality time” with Ms. Watney, saw the highlights, and took note of the outfielder taking the scenic route to Maybin’s hit. You guys have already noted that, and then some. Great work, Gentlemen, I will get back with you in a week or so, off the grid at Camp on the Hood Canal.

Greetings from Ryåsen, Sweden where after many days hiking the Hallandsleden trail, I spend the night at a B+B complete with WiFi. I begin listening to the game at 0100 local and doze off when TB takes a 5-0 lead. In the morning I learn of the 9th inning come back so I must watch the condensed game before hitting the trail. Interestingly, my brother who is a captain for SWA has an overnight in Tampa but a 0400 wake up for an early morning flight keeps him from attending the game. Hilsanger från Sverige och god Tigres!
