Game 2016.64: Tigers at White Sox

They say there is no such thing as a bad win; but there certainly are bad losses, and last night was one of them. It didn’t feel so much like the White Sox won, it felt more like the Tigers lost.

We can still take the series, and we can find out if there is something wrong with Jordan Zimmermann, or if his last outing was just one of those things.

Tonight’s Never Before Seen Lineup:

  1. Kinsler, 2B
  2. Iglesias, SS
  3. Cabrera, 1B
  4. Castellanos, DH
  5. JD Martinez, RF
  6. Upton, LF
  7. McCann, C
  8. Aviles, 3B
  9. Romine, CF

Well,  the Tigers are certainly a faster team without Victor Martinez in the lineup. So there’s that. Hopefully Aviles will avail the effort tonight, and Romine will be crisp. Aviles is no Don Kelly though.

About 5 more and this one might be penproof!..15-3 should be safe!

4 RBI from the bottom 3 in the order in the first 4 innings will usually get the job done.

Runners on 1st and 2nd..base hit to JD..he jogs after it.he lobs it to Kinsler….throws to 3rd…What!..runners end up on second and third on a single, run scores…
    ….as I watch this inning…10 won’t be nearly enough!!!!!!

deja vu? …trying to get Zimm 5 innings to qualify for a win may not matter if CWS ends up w/more runs than DET

ZIMS LAST TWO wins were both of this ugly variety….but a Win is a Win…could have ended like last night…..in fact still could!

yes, pretty sad when having “only a 5 run lead” going into the 9th is a little iffy

    A win is a win… two days…..50 base runners 20 runs..30 LOB….better this way than the alternative!

      Lowe – 20 IN, 19 ER, 6 HR’s, 1.70 WHIP… tough to keep a paying gig w/those numbers

        last year Lowe – 1.96 ERA in 55 IN, 4 HR’s & 1.05 WHIP and 61 K’s

DET’s bullpen could definitely use another relief pitcher w/Lowe’s last year’s #’s

    ugly win…but a win.

if DET pitching doesn’t come around soon, this is going to be another long year

guess Ausmus won’t be able to insert Aviles into the lineup tonight

Guess Again, LF. J-Up is DH. We refuse to bring another bat up in lieu of one of our fantastic ball pen arms while Victor is hurt.

i agree, w/Maybin and VMart out of action (but not on DL), why not loose one from the bullpen and bring up Jacoby Jones, Moya or Derek Hill to play the OF until Maybin gets healthy?
