– Avila doesn’t need surgery, but no timetable for a return, yet.

– Verlander felt good after throwing 25 pitches yesterday, no news yet today, which is presumably good.

    In Game 2 of this season the Tigers waited until their second at bats to send Ricky to the showers. Let see what happens tonight. During that game Iglesias went 4-4 with all singles.
