Given the amount of money they’re going to cost, among other factors, it’s very unlikely that the Tigers are going to make a serious effort to sign either. But people will do things like posting “at least they’re making an effort” and that may serve to distract the fans a bit from a dreadful team whose prospects for the foreseeable future are dim.
