Well no time like the present to start thinking about next season. Today MLB released the 2018 Schedule, which features the Tigers opening at home against the Pirates. On Thursday, March 29. Yes, we start in March next season, and on a Thursday at that.

Well another start for “Fingers” Collins. What can I say? As I recall he did hit a HR earlier this year after going 0 for 32, so he’ll be due soon. He’s playing CF tonight so everyday Lettuce can play SS after resting yesterday. Looks like Brad’s getting the team ready for 2018. Win 20 for the Tribe seems like a sure thing.
Seems crazy, but to me it looks like the Indians are evaluating more young players than the Tigers.
20 in a row. If the Tigers were playing at home going for 19 and 20 wins in a row, do you think we could manage better crowds than under 19,000 and 25,000 for those games? I suspect Comerica would be sold out for all those games.

Jud, I’ve been asking the same thing for weeks now. Only two answers come to mind, Big Al hasn’t a clue about how to approach the rebuild. The other is they are bringing Brad back for another year and are giving him a free hand. That also means Big Al hasn’t a clue.
JV continues to embarrass himself with the Astros. Last night he only went 8 innings gave up 1 hit and had 9K’s with only 1 BB. The mighty Astros offense gave him all the run support he needed, 1 run in the 2nd inning. He is a marvel.
JV.. The ultimate competitor… Money when needed.. How many times did his win end a losing streak, or get an important win in Detroit… Way too many to count! With him it’s not the stats… It’s the moment!
