Anibal is back, although the bullpen will be ready for some long relief. In fact, Sandy Baez was listed as the starter for a while, but now it says Anibal.

  3. Miguel Cabrera DH
  4. Nick Castellanos RF
  5. John Hicks 1B

  1. The Tigers are looking for a strong finish so they can justify rehiring Brad and the coaching staff for next year.

    1. Tony, take heart. There is simply NO WAY that Ausmus and his coaches will be back. The team is in free fall, and every day is just put a good face on it damage control. These are all spring training games now. Wish some guys would take off for the WBC. Ausmus is already the interim manager for Ausmus without Ausmus having been officially let go yet.

      1. Loon, certainly I pray you are correct but I just don’t see any urgency in Tiger management. Some of my favorite Tigers are Miggy, Bootsie and Lettuce but I don’t understand why we play them day in and day out when there are so many kids to look at.

  2. “Sanchez, hurt by long ball, looks to right ship”

As a headline to an mlb.com article in 2017, that is a sick joke. This is not news after three consecutive seasons of it.

Then I saw the following great news right underneath that:

“Sanchez officially done for the season”

But the article was about Aaron Sanchez.

    1. Aaron Sanchez is also known as “Sanchy,” by the way. Lots of imagination in baseball. Right, “Nick”?
