Game 2017.129: Tigers at White Sox

Best wishes to Victor Martinez, who is back on the 10-day DL again with an irregular heartbeat.

Nick’s wrist is good enough to bat but not play 3rd (insert your own joke here), so we get to try him out at DH.

Today’s Lineup:

  1. Ian Kinsler 2B
  2. Andrew Romine 3B
  3. Justin Upton LF
  4. Miguel Cabrera 1B
  5. Nick Castellanos DH
  6. Mikie Mahtook RF
  7. John Hicks C
  8. JaCoby Jones CF
  9. Jose Iglesias SS

Pitching: Matthew Boyd vs Lucas Giolito

  1. I was amused by Mario and Rod trying to figure out why o many young (unknown?) pitchers have ha so much success against the Tigers this year. There have been a bunch of them as they showed. No one volunteered that it is possibly because our offense has no consistency or just stinks.

    1. And the guys who do manage to hit the young/unknown pitchers tend to be the new guys. Today it was Mahtook, Hicks, and Jones. (Kinsler hit his against the known quantity, Garbage Time Petricka).

  2. If you want another Tiger to start worrying about try J-Up. In Chicago he is 1 for 13 (true a HR) and struck out 7 times.
