  1. “Today’s game starts early, to give Nick time to tag up and get to 3rd.”

    Classic.

      1. Don’t we all? I don’t think that was mean, though. Just funny. I think that Nicholas “Nick” Castellanos would also find it funny. Calling his throws to 1B knuckle curves was mean. That Nick probably wouldn’t like.

  2. Poor Adducci, not only does he go back to Toledo, It look like they are going to replace him with Casty in the outfield.

    1. I thought it was odd for them to send Adduci down in order to continue carrying 13 pitchers, but then I figured there could be some options considerations going on, and besides, Adduci will be back in a few weeks anyway. Now I’m reminded of why the Tigers are carrying 13 pitchers.

Mujica has been nothing but a sad story, like F-Rod. Like Sanchez (for the most part). Too bad.

    1. I think we’ll be seeing Robomb on the mound today.

Zimmermann is giving up the home runs this year for sure. Zimmie (spellcheck offers the good suggestion “Zombie”), Sanchie, and Frankie have yielded 37% of the team total in less than 26 games worth of action. Yee-ha.

Another confidence-building inning for Jimenez, I see. Cool.

  3. Let’s see Twins with 11 and Kins.. MIGGY.. Casty.. VMart with 1 hit added.. Business as usual..

    1. The Tigers have met their quota of one hit per inning. What’s the complaint?

I wonder if gets disheartening, playing behind this pitching staff day after day.

  4. V-mart finally gets a hit. Don’t run for him in case he can get another at bat in the 10th.

  5. Rally time! There’s just no quit in this team. And there is no “I” in “quit.”

  6. Greene pitching, #2-4 due up. If the Tigers can’t win this one, they should just go back to Detroit.

  7. Unreal… Did this more often you wouldn’t be batting for last…
2-50 when trailing after 8 now or close to that…

  8. This was pretty stupendous. Detroit is back to their version of .500, what a relief.

But before I forget, this has got to be the worst Tigers pitching staff in a generation.

  9. It was a really encouraging win. I resolve to have a more positive attitude about this team from here on out.
