Game 2017.22: White Sox at Tigers

The bullpen is still good whenever Justin Wilson is on the mound, bad the rest of the time. The offense apparently wore itself out scoring 19 in the first game, and couldn’t hit anything Wednesday or yesterday, except for Crash Collins, who smoked a couple doubles, and smoked Adduci while he was fielding a fly ball.

Today’s C’mon Guys, It’s Just Pelfrey Lineup:

  1. Ian Kinsler, 2B
  2. Tyler Collins, CF
  3. Nick Castellanos, 3B
  4. Victor Martinez, DH
  5. Justin Upton, LF
  6. Alex Avila, C
  7. Jim Adduci, RF
  8. John Hicks, 1B
  9. Jose Iglesias, SS

Pitching: Matthew Boyd vs Mike Pelfrey

  1. Coleman: I would include AWillie on list of acceptable pen pitchers. Personally, I think Fingers does more damage in the field than we can recover with his bat.

  2. Clown show continues. And Fingers wasn’t involved. Calling that a hit is a crime.

  3. Pelfrey couldn’t buy an out when he was w/ us a now he’s got his old mates baffled. Priceless.

    1. I was not hoping to see a pitching duel in this game. If this game is decided by the pens, we’re in trouble.

    2. true…and speaking of “priceless” that what CWS is getting Pelfrey for this year…compliments of DET (who’s picking up his salary)

  4. Maybe AWillie should come off that list. And the clowns keep entertaining us.

    1. Can’t really put that one on AWillie, he got double-play grounders on two consecutive plays, and Castellanos was out there with super floppy clown shoes.

  5. Hey Tigers if you are not ahead by 5 when you take out your starting pitcher…. Save time… Just forfeit!

  6. Highlights of this game: Nice start by Boyd, Pelfrey does not get the win, Casty’s hat trick.

  7. Funniest part of Casty’s clown show is he has zero range. Therefore it’s almost impossible for him to make 3 errors because he can’t get to anything!!!…. Almost!!!
