  1. A tip of the hat from both Hosmer and me to Annibal for 6 2/3 no-no. I just hope we get him a couple of runs to help.

    1. i concur Kevin – the only bright spot was Sanchez finally pitched a great game against a pretty good hitting team… but now the hot BOS comes to town for a 4 game series beginning today w/an afternoon game – which after a (demoralizing) night game usually doesn’t bode well for DET (if they don’t get their beauty sleep)

DET has 9 game vs MIN, 7 vs CLE, 6 vs CWS, 3 vs LAA, 3 vs ATL…so they still could string some wins together – if they start ‘finding ways to win games’ rather than the default (finding ways to lose) pattern as of late

Cabrera’s bicep issue could be a deja vu – cause for concern

It appears ‘the injuries’ issue may provide Ausmus the cover (excuse) he needs to get re-upped next season – even if they miss the playoffs, which (in my opinion) would add insult to injury if they do miss the playoffs – so DET might as well just win 30 of the remaining 42 games – if its inevitable that Ausmus will be back next year.

  2. Miggy back..in all of baseball what MLB player has the lowest batting average with the bases loaded…..drum roll….Miggy raps into a DP…

  3. This is one demoralized team. All aspects are failing. Bright spots like our young starters (and JV) are being obliterated by everything else.
