Game 2016.96: Tigers at White Sox

The less said about yesterday’s game, the better.

That’s not true. Verlander was incredible; he has re-established himself as the ace of the staff, with better stuff than we have seen from him in 3 years. The scene on the mound where Brad went out and Justin held his ground was priceless. Verlander said that as soon as Brad walked out to the mound without signaling he knew he was going to be able to hold the mound. This is good stuff we are seeing from JV this season; let’s appreciate it.

Tonight we get Pelfrey.

Tonight’s Not Entirely Serious Lineup:

  1. Kinsler, 2B
  2. Maybin, CF
  3. Don Kelly, 1B
  4. Don Kelly, DH
  5. Castellanos, 3B
  6. Upton, LF
  7. Saltalamacchia, C
  8. Aviles, RF
  9. Iglesias, SS

  1. Hey, we have the first string team doing the TV call tonight. Tonight might be interesting. Shields has only given up 5 ER in his last 3 games. He has gone at least 6 innings in each. We have Pelfrey. OH BOY!

  2. This thing where they change up the announcers is driving me nuts. The only rational explanation is that at least one guy is gonna get let go and the are going to reshuffle.

    1. Kevin, all that counts is that I’m happy. If they go on a 14 game win streak like the Indians, they can skip the announcers.

  3. Good start for Pelfrey, should have had more run support. Terrific hold by Greene.

  4. If either Pelfrey or Sanchez can keep improving that would be huge. I don’t think we care which one. But Pelfrey is definetely getting better. Slowly..but is getting better….
