  1. 6 strike outs…one of which was actually in the strikezine…..see you tomorrow….today will be swing swing swing at a 6.00 ERA…no thanks!

  2. Another series of base running errors. First a pickoff last inning and Avila makes the double play easy on the liner. Although, I’m still trying to figure out why Gose wasn’t bunting!

    Find the black squirrel!

    1. I was dozing off and watching game with no sound. Anyone caught what that was between Iglesias and McCann?

  3. Without the base running errors and a Gose sacrifice, what could the score be.

The stuff in the dugout is the sign of a leadership vacuum. Are you watching Pappa Al?

    1. Yeah. In first place, why let a good man like Dave D go (still bothers me), and stick with a bedsore like Ausmus? I’ll never understand the thinking….

  4. Our crack FSD TV crew has it between Iggy and Gose and that they are now friends again! Kaline Fan had it correct it appeared that Iggy was after McCann.

    1. Yes, I was watching NESN telecast (w/o sound) & it was definitely Iggy & McCann scuffling.

  5. I don’t know if anyone remembers, but about a month ago Kinsler and Iglesias got into it a little with each other, after a win, when everyone was congratulating each other. At the time I thought it was Kinsler being a jerk about something, but it may be that Iggy is a hothead.

    1. I remember that, with Ig & Kins, and you might be right, Coleman. Call it intensity probably.
But bigger problem, as Tony pointed out, is leadership vacuum in this clubhouse.

    1. …a little passion in the dugout and teammates calling guys out for half-stepping on the field might be what this team needs

    1. Good news: Avila has drawn 28 BB’s this season; not so good news: he only has 24 hits

  6. Iggy looks off his game. Like trying to prove something.
    What the hell’s going on?

  7. On Twitter a former team mate of McCann said McCann will call out anyone for dogging. This guy swears McCann will become the leader of the Tigers. This all started today on that groundball up the middle Iggy kind of went after, but I guess McCann felt he didn’t go hard enough….and called him on it!.

    1. I saw that play live, jud, and it looked like Iggy hardly moved on it. I thought a stretch-dive might have even caught it. So before any of this dugout happened, I’m thinking, What happened to the old Jose? Are the shins starting to bother him again, & he wants to avoid DL?

      1. Kaline – i saw the replay of the play, and agree that at a minimum Iglesias (who has great range) should have dove and kept the ball in the infield…

I suspect Iggy & McCann will be playing for DET for years to come, so i’m confident they’ll move past this matter…if they already haven’t. David Price injected his opinion on this matter and McCann:

  8. As far as I am concerned if McCann is going to start asserting himself as a leader, I think thats fantastic. The Tigers could sure use one. Its not like they get that leadership from Ausmus, who weaseled his way out of this confrontation just like he always does.
Nothing bothers me more than watching the stupid stupid baserunning blunders player return to the dugout and Ausmus is eating his seeds staring into space!!!!!!!!! Zero leadership…..so McCann you just got another fan!
