Game 2014.25: Tigers at Royals

We’re gonna win one, right?

It’s time for David Price to step up and be the ace that he’s paid to be. The Tigers made the game interesting last night with a couple of baserunners in the 9th inning, but fell short again to the mighty Royals. After starting the season 7-0, the Tigers are now 8-9 in their last 17.

Incredibly, Price doesn’t have much history against the Royals, having only pitched against them 3 times in the last 6 years. He somehow went all of 2013 and 2014 without facing them.

Baseball Reference Game Preview here.

J.D. Martinez who is 0-8 with 6 Ks in the series sits tonight. Hope you’re enjoying your epic sports watching Saturday.

Ingvila is off to a wonderfully predictable start. Thus far, over 40% of his trips to the plate have ended in a K. Nice.

      It could be worse:

      Avila OPS: .641
      V-Mart OPS: .573.

Yeah but we both know that it is highly probably that V-Mart will bounce back because he is who and what he is. And on that note, Ingvila is who and what he is too — that’s the scary part.

By the way — nice throw Nick!

Great to see Price take over JV and Scherzers old job……Great job, good D…..barely ok Hitting, but the Sluggos with be elated in pounding out more than 1 run. …..Assmus will tells us how good Victor made his outs today….can’t wait…….better than watching Mayweather/ Pacqueio take peoples money!!!!!!…

lets get 2-2 tomorrow. we need Sanchez to step up!
