Game 2014.124: Tigers at Rays

Baseball Reference Game Preview

Rick Porcello vs. Jake Odorizzi

Don’t mind me, just throwing this up early in case I work late tomorrow and/or the random word generator breaks down again. Carry on.

Say, how about some lineups, early birds?

…..

So, good win last night. Down but not out. Bend but don’t break. Runs are runs, and 5 to 8 of them is a very good thing. Aren’t the Tigers about due for a winning streak?

Hey, where did Melvin Mercedes go? Ah well, it’s almost September.

Wil Myers makes his return for the Rays.

  2. I’m refreshing the previous thread to see if Coleman has revealed any more of the script.

    1. This one could very well rival my karaoke-Kung Fu thriller. I don’t want to post any spoilers though.

    1. Yep, I believe we are seeing Little Ricky’s best performance of the year. Ok boys, please give him some run support.

  3. 17 retired in order since the first inning. And…..a low pitch count.

  4. Porcello is d e a l i n g.

Would you rather have Mo’ne Davis or Joe Nathan as your closer?

  5. I am having a senior moment! What do you call it when a team wins more than one game in a row??

      1. No such thing. Victor is on pace for 45 HR and the Tigers for a 40-0 finish. The calculator does not lie.

  6. Whoever would have thought that being patient and working the count could have such a positive result.

  7. Ricky P is one of only 4 active pitchers with 75 wins before 27…Felix, Kershaw, Sabathia.

    WOW.

  8. Hunter, Kinsler,Davis, and a lot of times Cabrerra have the worst ” at the plate approach”. Yet they get to watch Victor grind out at bat, after at bat,and yet can’t,or simply refuse to do that themselves!!!
