  1. The Tigers have been playing sub .500 baseball (26-27) since their 27-12 start. Hopefully they can pick it up soon.

  2. If that strike 3 call on Swisher is an indication of today’s strike zone, you might want to tune in tomorrow for a final score. Or A score.

  3. I see the Sluggo offense is in full game mode getting one guy all the way to second base in support of the rookie..in the mean time the swing swing swing with no results is working again today!

  4. I hope Ver Hagen was a look see to trade him for bullpen help. He looks like he will be ok….

    1. No command to speak of. Not ready. Not much of a trade piece at this point. Not likely to be seen in any of the upcoming road doubleheaders.

      1. Not a surprising result. This sort of thing happens a lot with not ready for prime time minor leaguers when they face real major league hitters. I kind of question the plan of bringing in Ver Hagen to save the staff, when they all just had a four day break. Thinking ahead, I guess, but maybe it is a better idea to play the game at hand and worry about next week next week. And not that it mattered, but why is Knebel up?

  5. Game two is just as pathetic already. MC Callister with the Tiger RBI…Victor with his 4 th K in two days…Kinsler after three straight guys walk fouls out on a pitch 6 inches inside…JD swings at a pitch that hits him then takes a pipe shot for strike three….4-22 RISP….this is an offensive clown show!!!!!

  6. Tigers are a lot smarter than I give them credit for…to solve the the RISP problem they simply put NO ONE on base…Brilliant!

    1. Agreed, but the “end” implies he had “a start.” He has been shaky at best from the very start and just plain crap for the most part since then. ERA = 6.23 aka CRAP.

  7. On top of everything else the 2-4-5 Tiger hitters are 0 for the Post All Star Games….

  8. You know what Mr. Cub, Ernie Banks, says “Let’s play two” I say to heck with that idea…

  9. I have been a Tiger fan since 1952. Look it up. They were terrible. 1968 and 1884 were great! But I can’t take it any more. This team has no fire in their bellies, and a closer who is an arsonist. Today, they are fired. Just like I fired the Lions. No longer a homer, I now root for theA’s and the Patriots. Bye.

  10. The Sluggos with a whole 6 runs now are 4-100000000 RISP…and will fall under .500 at home tomorrow……Zach McCallister the latest bum off the street shuts the Sluggos down….

  11. I’m trying to be calm but the Tigers need a new manager a new closer a new bullpen a new centerfielder and a new manager.

  12. Anyone can manager when things are going great!….no hit and runs…not one bunt….Cabrerra steals the only base ..on his own….no pinch hitters….hey Brad…what you getting paid for…..oh I know..bring in “your” closer
