54-44, 1st place, 1.5 games up.

The Tigers are 10 games over for the 7th time this season. They are 0-6 in their previous 6 cracks at 11 over. 7th time’s a charm.

Tonight’s Cabrera Off for a Few Days Lineup:

1. Jackson, CF
2. Hunter, RF
3. Tuiasosopo, LF
4. Fielder, 1B
5. Martinez, DH
6. Peralta, SS

  1. Interesting with Tui moving up to No. 3. He does have a great OBA. The hot hitting V-Mart might have been the other way to go, but he doesn’t have the HR punch.

It looks like Miggy might miss a few. This is where a decent bench could cushion the blow a bit.

Our 7-9 lineup looks kind of scary tonight (for us).

    1. Agreed. I think that V-Mart is comfy, and Leyland doesn’t want to mess with that.

  2. Smokey is a blundering idiot even at the best of times, the team results are just good enough for him to keep his job! The calls and execution in the top of the 1st were horrendous. Why the f#@k is AA in there, especially against a lefty!

    1. Add allowing Al Al to come out for a second inning. History tells you bad things happen when he comes out for a second.

  3. I don’t want to sound like a crank, but that 4th inning was more Chitown Clown Show than Tiger Clutch.

        1. Unfortunately they don’t have any bench players we can use. However, addition by subtraction.

            1. They’ve got Neifi Perez, Brandon Inge, and Edgar Renteria on speed dial, in case Peralta is suspended.

            2. This could spell the end for Shawn Hill’s Mudhen career (1-12, 5.80 ERA 1.63 WHIP).

  4. Saw some of the early parts of the game; thought the ump got the Hunter call correct. I would not like to run into Dunn, that would leave a mark. The Hawk was PO’ed, said if he could cuss, that would be the call he would be cussing about. He makes Homers look neutral.
