Enrique Gonzalez closed this one down, earning his 11th save of the season, while striking out 2 of 3 in a perfect 9th.

  1. So the Twinkies have lost 5 in a row, just got swept by BAL at HOME, and Liriano and 5 other regulars have recently hit the DL…and they just sent Thome packing and may also do the same with Kubel.

Verlander will be starting game 2 and the stars are aligned = one would think that everything points to the Tiger’s sweeping this series… its probably just me, but why do i have my doubts about that outcome?
