Toledo 5, Pawtucket 4 (Red Sox)

The Mud Hens walked-off after a sac fly from Ryan Strieby (1B) scored Danny Worth in the bottom of the 11th. Lester Oliveros (RHP) was the winning pitcher after he held Pawtucket scoreless through the 10th and 11th. He walked 2 and K’ed 3.

Scott Thorman (LF) went 1-4 with a homer and three RBI.

Erie 3, Bowie 2 (Orioles)

Erie also won in extra innings after they scored 1 in the top of the 12th and hung on for the victory. Jacob Turner (RHP) started and lasted 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits and a walk while striking out 8. Chance Ruffin (RHP) was credited with the win after 2.2 innings of scoreless relief with 4 K’s.

Jamie Johnson (CF) went 3-6 with a run scored, a double, and a RBI. Audy Ciriaco (SS) had the only other RBI for the ‘Wolves.

Lakeland 2, Jupiter 4 (Marlins)

Lakeland fell behind 3-0 early and never caught up. Cole Nelson (LHP) took the loss after surrendering those three ER over 6 IP but K’ed 6. Michael Morrison (RHP) allowed the other ER after 1 1/3 innings of relief.

Ryan Soares (2B) went 2-4 with a  double and a RBI. Michael Rockett (OF) had the second RBI on a single.

West Michigan 7, Fort Wayne 9 (Padres)

Despite giving up 6 runs (5 earned) in 4 2/3 as the starter, Kyle Ryan (LHP) avoided taking the loss. Instead, Michael Torrealba (RHP) ate the “L” after allowing 3 unearned runs in 1 1/3 innings of work.

James Robbins (1B) had a big night with the bat: 2-4, 2 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI. Hernan Perez (2B) went 2-5 with 2 RBI and a double. Castillo, Castellanos, Moya, and Machado had 1 RBI apiece for the explosive White Caps offense.
