Game 2010.155: Tigers at Indians

What a tremendous finish to the home schedule.  Tigers end up with their best Comerica record ever, 23 games over .500.

Freep had a particularly candid article about the future a few free agents.  I’m pretty sure the writing is on Laird’s locker, not the wall.

stephen – did you “acknowledge” Inge?

Galarraga has been beat up pretty bad his last two starts, which have shot his ERA up from 3.89 to 4.44.  Two shut-outs to end the season and he’d break 4.00.

  1. Since neither Bonderman or Galarraga are likely coming back (at least I hope not), maybe they should give the starts to somebody else on Sat and Sun in Baltimore – nothing to lose.

  2. I look for Bonderman to return for approximately 2Y/5M. Having not pitched much in the past 2-1/2 years, I thought he did enough good things to warrant another SP role (#5 starter) next year. I expected his arm to lose strength around August – which it did. Jeremy’s arm strength should be improved in 2011. A full off-season of arm rest and more strength-conditioning routines should do him a world of good.
