OK, let’s shut ’em down here in the 9th.

Tough 9th. Injuries are gonna be blamed for our 2nd half fall, but it’s really been the pen.
Kids look good though.
How nice would it be to have a catcher that bats .275? How long has it been?…
There are varying levels of winning and losing. And the lowest level of losing the the AJ P-guy Walkoff Hit…so at least we avoided that.
A catcher who hits .275?? How about a 3B? A SS? Or heaven forbid a LF?
Oh that game was classic Inge. Three strikeouts and yet the announcers are all talking about his ‘grit’ and ‘great example’ for having the sense to run out a missed third strike. They pretty much have him re-signing with the Tigers based on tonight’s effort.
When the pitching staff implodes (14 hits, 10 BB, 2 HB) and the defense collapses (3 E), one has to strain to find something good to say to rationalize the victory. The Tigers didn’t win that game as much as the Sox lost it (21 LOB!).
I don’t care that we’re out of it, I love a sweep of the White Sox. My only regret is that I didn’t get hear Hawk’s incessant whining at all this weekend.
Plus we got two wins on national TV, that’s gotta be a first.
