Game 2010.145: Tigers at Rangers

Bondo v. Holland in a game that really has little importance for either team, as Texas is playoff bound and our Tigers are not.  Though Texas is only 2.5 games behind Minnesota, so they could still nab the second overall playoff spot.

The Rangers are coming off of a sweep of the Yankees that included a walk-off HR, a walk-off HBP, and an absolute gem from the recently struggling Cliff Lee.  No timetable on Hamilton’s return to the lineup.

  1. Bondo has to go 7 or 8 innings today. In the 8th bring in Coke and bring Valverde in for the save. If Valverde can’t go in today ( I don’t see why not) bring Perry in for the save or vise verse. Bring Perry or Bonine for the hold and Coke with the save.

  2. I just saw something I never saw before: a batter gives himself up [starts walking away from the plate, assuming the pitch was strike 3]….and the ump doesn’t call it! And that “HR” was foul, too. Are these morons blind or what?
