  1. Lets go Tigers! Another big one at home as the D-Backs have lost 14 straight on the road and we have won 7 in a row. Porcello, please just keep us in the game and let the offense do the rest.

  2. Meanwhile Philly went into the 9th with a 5-run lead over the Twins and just blew it

  3. Between the Twins comeback and 0 runs with bases juiced and 0 outs, these last three baseball minutes could not have been worse.

    1. GIDP monster strikes again.

If only we could have kept it going till the big bats at the bottom of the order came up..

  4. Whole night just changed. I realize that it is very early, but I think everyone on here feels it.

  5. hey Rick try a few pitches not down the middle……even the outs are getting hit 330

  6. I think Laird tweaked his neck a little on that rip by Avila maybe he should sit just a few more days!

    1. And naturally the Twins come back to score in the 11th (2 walks, sacrifice, single)

  7. I think Laird tweaked his neck a little watching that rip by Avila maybe he should sit just a few more days!

  8. Twinkies score 8 in the 9th..10th..11th…..sometimes I forget how good the
Tiger pen has been til you see something like this

  9. a game of a ton of chances and not much cashing in….guess it was bound to happen sooner or later

    1. CarLOB Guillen was the hole in the lineup today, he was off today.

In fact the middle of the order was a letdown:
      (through 8)
      tops – 3-12, 0BB
      mids – 2-11, 1 BB
      bottoms – 4-9 1 BB, 1 sac

It’s a shame not to take advantage of another good 7-9 game

  10. Tigers had 3-4 chances to move runners up form second with no outs and failed every time…..had many many chances to score…..failed most of the time…Arizona..went after the toughest 4 hitter in the league with the game on the line….got him….good job Arizona…guess that’s why no one wins 162 games

  11. It’s always a bad omen when the Twins finagle an impossible win. With whoever they bargained their collective souls to pull off that most impossible victory, they were shrewd enough to negoitate a Tiger’s loss with the deal.

  12. Yep agree. Can’t leave it up to Cabby every night. Gotta make good on some of those other chances.

  13. Porcello is never going to be a legit #2 starter until he finds a strikeout pitch. The other side puts too many balls into play vs. Porcello and enough of those are bound to find a hole, especially with as many groundbalss as he forces with his sinker.; Coming into tonight Porcello was averaging less than 4 K’s per 9 innings. That is pathetic, especially with a second baseman who probably has less mobility/range than any second sacker in the AL (meaning there will be plenty of ground singles into RF this summer vs. Porcello). No strikeout pitch= no sustainable success for Porcello. If they send him to Toledo, it should be to focus on developing some sort of strikeout pitch because right now he isn’t close to having one.

    1. Well, he’s pretty young. I think he’ll be fine. Really really good, in fact. At the beginning of the year he was pitching well and getting pretty unlucky. The last few starts he has been getting hit much harder.

  14. Silver lining: now billfer can correct the game numbers on the headings without jinxing a winning streak
