  1. actually a nice job by porcello to get out the first with only 1 more run against. just watching on gameday, his release point was all over the place and he couldn’t command the fastball. the second inning had a MUCH release point and he threw 8 of 10 pitches for strikes. maybe he can build on that and shut them down the rest of the way while we get some runs off slowey.

  2. AJax cost us a run there. He’ll learn. He’s more than earned his keep, but bad route.

  3. Looks like the problem is the whole state of Minnesota, not just the Metrodome.

  4. Nick Punto…can the Twins trade him to the national league?

Terrible end to the inning. Cannot walk Castilla there.

  5. Tigers playing three rookies and two utility guys; this stuff, unfortunately, is going to happen a lot.

  6. when you watch the Tigers attempt to play outfield I wonder how much they miss VanSlyke

    1. that was so high… in the dome it might have been a “speaker rule” single

  7. why not bat Boesch hitting .325 and hit for Kelly hitting .172 ..guess it didn’t matter

    1. I was wondering the same thing. I caught the tracker in-between things, saw that Boesch was coming up with Miggy on and was excited as I am for Miggy/Damon coming up in a clutch situation…and he subs in Inge for him, when the next hitter was Inge’s replacement for the day?! Does it have to do with Boesch’s splits against lefties?

  8. Thats a good way to end the series… a smoked line drive for an out.

  9. 4 home runs today and we scored…. 4 runs. Surprising for a team that is among the league leaders in OBP. Figures it works out for the Twins’ advantage though. This is the luckiest team on the planet. They are good – really good – but also incredibly lucky.

Somebody is going to have to look up how often a team gives up 4 HR (and hits none) and wins the game. Coleman? Your time to shine, buddy.

  10. I hate the twinks…. but they ARE a much better team than the Tigers, and the best Twikies didn’t even play or pitch

  11. We avoided Liriano and Pavano, but still got swept. We get a much needed day off tomorrow. I know I’ll still grieving.

  12. Air out of the balloon today.

Need at least 2 out of 3 in Cleveland, with the Yankees coming to town for four next week.

Thank goodness for an off day, almost forgot what those were.
