The whole signing of Everett never made any sense. They might as well have given the job to Santiago if they didn't feel Dlugach was ready.

I popped onto his stats page, Dlugach is at:
.297/.351/.452 line, OPS of 803.
What caught my eye was the news clip at the bottom for 2008:
"Missed the entire season, with the exception of seven games during an injury rehab assignment with the Gulf Coast League Tigers, with a right labrum tear...named the best defensive infielder in the Tigers organization following the season by Baseball America..."
I don't quite follow this, if this was based on 2007 or the 7 games in the Gulf Coast League, but if he is good defensive SS, then he should be up here now. Everett is only playing just above average defense compared to the AL SS's with over 250 PA's, and he has an OPS of under .400 since the break. Dlugach is 26, looks he missed most of 2007 and 2008, but if he can field, then he should be up here now.
BTW, Hessman seems to be heating up, and with Inge sporting .497 OPS since the break, he needs some time off, provided Raburn (Pronounced with a Y with the silent EEE) doesn't play 3rd.

According to Tigstown.com in a May '09 article, he "shows exceptional poise"
and is rising very fast on the top prospects list. Now, that article was written in May, so I can only imagine what they are saying now.

Good for Weber. Now is he a prospect or just some kid who brought his "A Game" for one magical night?

Looks like none of our minor league SS, at Toledo or Erie, can hit worth a damn.
Wrong. Brent Lugich is hitting .297. Cale Iorg, not so good.

WOW! A no-hitter and 16 runs scored. Thad Weber? Never heard of him, but we probably will from now on. Think some of those guys are looking to make the 40 man roster.
