Zumaya and optimism don't really belong in any headline, but things look good for the pitcher returning. He'll even be traveling with the team on this roadie.

The Tigers really do seem to be driving the mood elevator around these parts this summer.

Looking at Fien's debut with Pitch f/x magic. Notice the location plot. I only count 2 pitches in the middle of the strike zone. The rest were at the edges. Me likes.

Lee takes a look at the numbers to find out that the Tigers actually do have some clutch hitting ability – despite what we saw in the first 6 games after the break.

That is hopefully good news for Zumaya. It would be great if he could THROW again at TOLEDO or ERIE this year, where he could learn how to PITCH before returning to the Tigers maybe NEXT year.

The season is still young. I think Zumaya actually has enough time to rehab the arm, return to the Tigers, blow some games for us, get injured AND go back on the DL all before October.

The tigers, and especially Inge the tiger from the worst team a few years ago, are looking at it again. They have no way of winning the division with the losers: Laid, Everette, Inge, Thomas, Rayburn, Santiago. Verlander and Jackson can’t do it. Good By Tigers again. I’ve followed the Tigers, both TV and radio, for 58 years. I was at the Tigers game when KALINE hit 3 home runs against Kansas City and won 16 -0. I think this team is a loser and give up. I am conemptplating giving up my Comcast MLB subscription.
