I'm braving the humidity and going to the Mud Hens game in Norfolk this afternoon. I was hoping that I'd be able to see Brooks Brown start, but I missed that by a day. Lucas French would have been my second choice though. Second row, outfield side of the dugout, third base side.

I'm dreading having to explain to my wife why Mike Hessmann has 80+ Ks to go along with a .180 BA this year... and yet he's the closest thing the Tigers have to a 3B between Western Michigan and Toledo.

Question:

When is the last time the Tigers won both games of a double header? The last time I can recall them doing so was Rock Concert fiasco at the old Commisky Park when the fans ruined the field and the Chisox forfeited. I can't believe it's been 30 years since they've won two games on the same day.
