Tigers Minor League Wrap 5/30/09

Charlotte 4 Toledo 2
Wil Rhymes and Don Kelly both went 3 for 4. Dusty Ryan homered, his 6th of the year. I think it’s time Ryan comes up and plays 2 days a week in lieu of Dane Sardhina. Brooks Brown went 8 innings using 97 pitches. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, 2 walks, and 2 K’s. Freddy Dolsi allowed a run on 3 hits and a walk in 1 inning.

Akron 1 Erie 4
Max Leon singled twice and doubled. Ryan Strieby and Andy Dirks each had 2 hits. Jonah Nickerson allowed just 1 run on 6 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings. Cody Satterwhite fanned 2 in 2 scoreless innings.

Lakeland 7 Palm Beach 6 (10 inn)
Jeramy Laster homered and singled. Michael Bertram and Justin Henry each had 2 hits. Thad Weber fanned 4 in 5.2 innings and allowed 3 runs on 6 hits.

Wisconsin 4 West Michigan 3
Brandon Douglas and Jordan Lennerton both went 2 for 4. Luke Putkonen allowed just 1 unearned run with 6 K’s in 6 innings. Victor Larez allowed 3 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks in his inning of work.

  1. I don’t know about Dusty Ryan. His defense is awful. Plus, Sardinha is becoming JV’s personal catcher.
