Matt Treanor has been placed on the disabled list with a right hip strain. Dane Sardhina’s contract has been purchased from Toledo.
UPDATE: The News reports that he is expected to be out 2 months. This article doesn’t specify that Sardhina has been called up, but that is in fact the case per today’s game notes.

I take that back. In half a start, Sardinha eclipses Treanor…
On the other hand, it’s hard to judge a guy by a few games, if it’s possible he had a painful hip/pelvic/abdominal problem, that could certainly leave a guy hitting like…like a guy who isn’t getting any hip turn when he swings…
