Dontrelle Willis was the high profile starter in this one. Willis struck out 6 and walked 3 in his 6 innings with 2 runs on 3 hits. Overall, it was another encouraging outing. Jordan Lennerton has been crushing the ball of late. Is he underplaced (at 23 y.o.) or overacheiving (for a 33rd round draft pick)?

If Dontrelle continues to progress and is ready to rejoin the club at the same time that Bonderman becomes healthy, then what do you think happens to the rotation? Would they replace Miner and Porcello without question or do you think it would be a matter of who is pitching the best? Obviously Bonderman takes one of their spots, but is Porcello just considered a place holder right now or will he stay with the club if he’s the best for the job?

I think Willis is a lot closer than Bonderman. if willis pitches for Toledo fine, he may come up after it — too soon I think. Bonderman will still have to get his starts for Lakeland, etc, before coming back.

Otherwise I think if both do make it back, Porcello may be the short stick there.

Nice problem to have considering that we still have Nate Robertson wanting to get back into the rotation also.

    Who’s that?

Oh, wait. I remember him. Where is he now?
