We should have picked up Juan Cruz, but other than that, I have a good feeling about this year. Especially the improved defense. By the way, the Tigers pitching had an ERA under 4 in spring training. In less than a year, we went from having a poor defensive infield to an excellent one. Added some speed to mix with Josh Anderson. Got younger by not having Jones, Pudge, Rogers, and Sheff. Added some new pitchers to the roster (Jackson, Porcello, Rincon, Perry, and Lyon). Giving home grown guys like Larish and Bonine another chance. And we still have plenty of power in the middle of the line-up. I think Leyland just saved his job. Spring Training turned out to be a good proving ground despite the WBC and setbacks to Bonderman/Zumaya/Willis. Man, this roster turned out to be as solid as ever.
