BUT, it sounds much more like the deal that COULD get done rather than the deal the Tigers would like to make. Guillen is a far more complete hitter than anyone in the Larish/Thomas/Clevelen/Ramirez/Thames merry-go-round. He gives the team the best chance to win this year. I'm just not sure the Tigers NEED another starter. Three of 5 starting spots are locks, and it seems Bonderman wouldn't be far away even if he's not ready on Opening Day, so that's 4... As for the 5 spot, Miner, Porcello or even Lambert would work well. So if the Tigers dealt Guillen, it only makes sense for an above-average starter.
