Enjoyed the game last night. Said goodbye to all of our “section mates”.

Also with Jud. I’m a Ramon supporter, the more he plays the better he gets. If they had just given him a chance to start the year we MIGHT have held onto a pretty good pitcher whose initials are JJ. Just sayin’.

I’m with Jud on this: the “oh he won’t keep it up over a season” school of thought always baffled me. First of all, how do you know? Based on what? Not like he ever started a whole season. (Yeah, and there’s a reason for that, goes the standard answer. Tangent: as a fan of his, this is what I always heard about JT O’Sullivan. Even from SF fans…obviously there’s a reason he’s never started. The same guys are now saying “he sort of reminds me of Steve Young…”)

Secondly, even if it’s true he will cool downat some point–why not play him until that happens? Think of Chris Shelton. Would we have been better off saying, oh this start is just a fluke, and putting him back on the bench after the 2nd game of the season? Considering how the team finished the year, there may have been no WS without Shelton. Think about it.

Santiago has does a very good job all year…hit over .300…I don’t know but I don’t think he fell under .300 at all for very long…played good defense ….keeps his mouth shut and just plays….too bad he ain’t one of JL’s boys because despite the old man and his the best players will play again and again and again….Renteria will be the starting SS next year…right Jim

I stole my roomate’s Indians hat to bring to the game today (firm outing, normally i’d have nothing to do with a Sox/Indians game).

I’ll feel a little dirty wearing it, but its worth it if I get to see the Sox on a golf course in October, and hear Hawk cry.

I may be alone here, but I’m going to be even more upset at this point if the Tigers sweep the Ray and Boston wins the division. With how this season has gone, it could happen this way. Sure, it worked out for us when the Royals swept us, but I’d like to see someone other than the BoSox or Yankees win that division. On that note, come on Twins. I don’t want to see the ChiSox make it in the playoffs.
