hey bill -

i live in rochester and so i was at the series, of course. lambert looked great in today's game until it started to rain. at that point, his control went haywire and he pretty much just got bombed. i thought for sure toledo was going to pull it out before that, however, because they ran mulvey up to almost 50 pitches after 3IP. they were also hitting him really hard - 5 shots to the warning track by the 4th.

hollimon and perez were pretty much the highlights of the series. guzman looked great on the basepaths and made a serious web gem diving catch today (i even conviced red wings fans in my section to show him some love for the catch :) ).

in other news, liriano was absolutely filthy tuesday night. dear god. he hasn't looked this good since his peak in july '06, and he looked like one of the greatest pitchers ever then. twins mgmt, thank you soooo much for keeping him in rochester still.
