great chat Billfer! Stuck in horrible I-94 traffic on the way back from lunch and thought about how I was going to miss it. But you gave props to the high socks revolution, which, to me, is why Miggy hit the walk off, and not Maggs.

Regarding the Todd Jones question - closers are so weird. Billy Wagner has blown what, 5-6 saves already? Mo has 2 losses. Brad Lidge and Todd Jones are the only two closers in baseball with neither a loss nor a blown save. Jones has awful peripherals and probably won't keep it up, but he has been great so far, which is huge. Can you imagine the uproar if Jones had blown one of the few wins this year? I think it's huge that this team is one in two of all of baseball that can say that their closer isn't directly responsible for any of their losses.

Miner does have a WHIP of 1.15 over the last 30 days. I think the three hits he gave up in the 9th in the 8-4 win over Cleveland last weekend stuck in my mind, though.

Great chat.
