International man of mystery, Francisco Cruceta, has finally been allowed into the country. His visa problems have kept him out of action and the country for the last two months. Jason Beck reports that Cruceta will head to Lakeland.

I’d imagine he spends a week or so in Florida before joining the Mud Hens, and perhaps the Tigers.

Ahh, billfer, thank you for the bit of humor, so needed at times like this. :) This gives me hope that we’ve turned the corner on the bad news, and it’ll be good from here on out. Let’s go get a win tonight!

Hopefully this is a precursor to a “Tigers Release Jason Grilli” headline. *dreams*

Culled from Rotoworld —

Francisco Cruceta has finally had his visa approved and is expected to report to Single-A Lakeland. The Tigers will have 30 days to decide whether to add Cruceta to the 25-man roster or risk losing him on waivers because he doesn’t have any minor league options remaining.
