I think he was arbitration eligible for the Tigers, so they let him go. There are two major leaguers with the last name Durbin and they both pitch in Philly. I looked and saw J.D. was born in Portland, OR and Chad was born in the Midwest somewhere, so it's doubtful that they're related. Yeah, Chad Durbin caught on with the Phillies. I think he was arbitration eligible for the Tigers, so they let him go.
